Assoc. Prof. Martin Zahariev, PhD
Assoc. Prof. Martin Zahariev, PhD is a partner at Dimitrov, Petrov & Co. (DPC) Law Firm, Bulgaria, head of DPC’s Intellectual Property Practice Group and one of its leading privacy practitioners. He is a Trademark and Design Attorney at the Patent Office of the Republic of Bulgaria, as well as a European Trademark and Design Attorney.
Martin is author of two monographs on GDPR (including the first monograph on the topic in Bulgaria), one student book on regime of information and more than 50 articles, book chapters and analysis on privacy & ICT, employment, commercial and dispute resolution matters. Together with Prof. Dr. George Dimitrov, he is a co-author of the International Encyclopaedia of Laws series book: Cyber Law, ‘Bulgaria’, published by Kluwer Law International in 2022.
Martin is a regular lecturer at the University of Library Studies and Information Technologies and a guest lecturer at a number of prestigious Bulgarian and international universities.
